Second Cannibal Ox Album in the Works

One of the things hip hop fans never thought would happen is happening: Cannibal Ox are going to be releasing a second album. When they released The Cold Vein LP in 2001, it became an instant classic in the eyes of critics and fans alike, but a further release never materialised and the hype died down.

That is until earlier this week, when the duo announced a reunion show in Brooklyn on 9 December and that they would be releasing a second album in 2013. Vast Aire said “We never broke up, but the timing is now right for a new Cannibal Ox LP” adding, “Iron Galaxy Records is about to take over.” Take a moment to remind yourselves of the genius of The Cold Vein below and stay tuned for more news on the album coming soon.
